It has been devised to offer a platform for discussion for veterinary professionals and deliver excellent, free information in bite size sessions.

The Lecture Series has been developed with funding and support from VETNET LLN in the Eastern Region.  Early lectures will cover an overview of basic immunology, examples of diseases and barrier nursing, and details of the most recent advances in vaccination protocols and
immunotherapy.

The first of the lectures, “Practical Immunology for Nurses”, took place in late October and a pleasing number of participants attended.  This was held as an evening event, from 7.30pm with a 9.30pm finish.  It was delivered by Alex R Allen BVM&S MRCVS and sponsored by Virbac Animal Health.

This is only the first of many lectures in the Writtle College Vet Lecture Series, which is being launched by Sarah Golder, who is the Veterinary Nurse Course Manager at the college. For details of future lectures please contact Sue Eddie (sue.eddie@writtle.ac.uk).
