Sarah Field - VETNET LLN National Co-ordinator
Sarah graduated in 1991 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Animal Sciences. Since then she has pursued her interest in animals within the land-based sector.
Sarah worked for 10 years at Writtle College in Essex, first as a technician before joining the lecturing staff. She played a key role in developing and establishing the HND and BSc Animal Science courses at Writtle during the late 1990s.
In 2001 Sarah joined Moulton College in Northamptonshire as Head of Higher Education. In this role she developed contacts with a number of colleges and universities in the land-based sector and more generally. During her time at Moulton, Sarah oversaw the establishment of a modular HE curriculum and an increase in the range of HE courses offered by the college.
The combination of subject area and the potential to improve opportunities for non-traditional HE learners were the main motivating factors in this latest career move.
Outside of work, Sarah's hobbies and interests include walking her dog, reading, choral singing and playing the piano (but not all at the same time!).
Mitesh graduated from De Montfort University in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Management Science and has 6 years experience working in the education, learning and skills sector.
Mitesh worked at the Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI) in Coventry for over 5 years. As a Data Analyst, he played a key role in developing the Provider Performance Report (PPR) – an online report which is used by all Work-based learning providers and FE Colleges in England.
As a result of ALI’s merger with Ofsted earlier this year, Mitesh transferred over to one of their regional offices in Nottingham working in the Children’s Directorate. After a short spell working for the New Ofsted, he decided it was time to look for a new and much fresher challenge - and after seeing this intriguing new role advertised… the rest as they say is history!
Mitesh likes to play and watch a wide range of sports, in particular football, where he religiously follows Liverpool FC. He also considers himself to be a bit of a film buff and enjoys eating out at restaurants - with tastes in a variety of fine cuisine.

Linda is originally from Northumberland and moved to London in the 1970’s where she got a job with British Gas. Linda stayed with that employer for 15 years working in several different departments, mainly within a customer service setting.
Linda then took a break to start her family and had many happy years at home before easing herself into the workplace again. Linda then worked as a P/A for an Independent Financial Adviser for 7 years and then moved into a Nursing Home setting and was Home administrator for almost 4 years.
An advert for this new and exciting venture caught her eye in the local paper and she successfully applied for the position.
Linda has two children and has been married for 25 years, in addition to her garden she also has an allotment which keeps her fit and busy during the summer months. In the winter you will find her browsing in second hand bookshops where she hopes to find bargains to add to her collection of topography and social history books.
